Wasted Time

Time...It can take forever, yet fell like nothing. Most people get told at least once in their life to stop wasting time. What is wasting time? Are we wasting time, or using it wisely? What's the difference? People think that wasting time could be a sport, a game, work, or even just regular-day hobbies. It all depends on what you think is useful or not. Anything that is a waste of time to you, could also be one of your favorite things to do. For example, I think that reading fictional books wastes my time, even though I love to read them. Some things that I
thing are a useful way to spend my time, could also be wasted time for others, for example I know many people who think that camping is a waste of time, but personally I think that it's a great way to spend your time, because you get to learn survival, and you get to hike in different landscapes.

What do you think is waste of time and why?

  1. I agree with you on this one Sariah. I like to spend my time watching my favorite shows online but my mom thinks its a waste of time and I should be doing homework. I think that nothing is a waste of time because you are using that time how you want to use it.

  2. yeah, that is totally true because when I am playing video games, my mother tells me that playing video games is a waste of time and then she tells me to go outside and play.

  3. I think wasting time is sometimes worth it and it sometimes isn't. For example, let's say you're anxious for something to happen. The more you think about it, the slower time appears to pass by. But if during that period of time, you do something entertaining for you, time will pass by in a flash. But on the other hand, I think it is also good to "waste" time while enjoying things because time has existed and will exist longer than our lives (unless 2012 happens...).

  4. I understand what people are talking about, but you can still waste time. For example, if you know that you have to do homework and you only have a short time to do it, you can waste time by doing something other than homework. This can result in not getting it done, and eventually getting a zero. Unfortunately, I am guilty of this. I would much rather be reading than doing homework.

  5. I really like spending time reading fantasies. Many people would say that fantasy books are a waste of time but I find them to be a very good way to learn certain things in a way that will stick. Most fantasies use real facts to make them more interesting so I don't think it is a waste of time. Fantasies are extremely interesting and have facts hidden in them so enjoy your fantasies without worrying about wasting time! ( Just make sure you don't have anything else you should be doing, like hmw)

  6. With this one I'm gonna have to agree with Lily. I love to spend my time on Photoshop and video chatting (both at once), while I should be doing my homework. I consider it a waste of time, even though I like it, but then I get sooo mad at myself when its midnight and I'm barely halfway through my homework. That's what I think. Waste of time can be something absolutely useless, or something you like to do (a hobby), but is time consuming and you have to do another thing. This is why one should have one's priorities in order.

  7. I agree that there are many people who will say that the things you like to do are wasting time. Because, like in everything else, everyone has their own opinion. For me, the best way to pass time wisely is to read a fictional book, because their entertaining and your vocabulary grows. Another way to pass time is to listen to music, and do something creative.

  8. I Really think that using time wisely is a really good thing to say. People say that playing games and doing Facebook might a waste of time but in real it isnt. Doing what you love and what you like to do is not wasting time. Also Facebook, is not a waste of time, because if something happens and you dont know you can always see it on facebook.

  9. What others call "wasting time" might be something you really like to do. And they might be right, but still, if it's something you enjoy, as long as you do it moderately, it can't be that bad.

  11. MY most wasting time thing is doing nothing. Even if I do facebook I can have a funny or happy conversations and photos with my friends in there, but doing nothing is really really a wasting time. Like me, I waste a lot of time doing nothing, well actually staying thinking or imaging things. I know that is a wasting time, but I can't stop it-.,-

  12. Obviously wasting time is not a worthwhile thing to do, but sometimes I like to send my time doing nothing and thinking about many things such as my plans for the future. Although I get nothing for that, I don't think I am wasting my time, actually it motivates me.

  13. I really think doing almost NOTHING is wasting time... well, my friends think experimenting when you already know something is going to fail is really "wasting time", while I think it is not, because I actually think it worth to see why it doesn't work and what is its outcome... This article reminds me of Ms. Sara giving infractions for doing nothing and wasting time...
