News Broadcasters Handshake During Commercial Break

By: Lacey Duncan

Have you ever stopped to wonder about what happens behind the scenes on live television during commercial breaks?  Is this a time for restroom breaks or a moment to sneak a bite out of a donut or two before the commercials come to an end?  Well, for this pair of new broadcasters, it seems they’ve opted to using this time to do something rather unique.  Together, these two news anchors have devised an intricate and very complicated handshake to pass the time.  Perhaps they might be using it to measure just how long the commercial break is.  Or they could be doing out of sheer entertainment.  Whatever the case may be, it is worthy of a watch.  Do you have any specialized handshakes with anyone?  Comment what you thought about this particular one and if you have one of your own!

One Republic - I Lived

By: Gaby Paredes

This is a music video, but it also is a video about this kid that has Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is also knows as mucoviscidosis, it affects the lungs and the pancreas liver, and intestine. When someone has Cystic Fibrosis is they have difficulties in breathing. CF (Cystic Fibrosis) is genetic, it means that it is passed from parent to children. When someone has CF their mucus becomes thick and sticky, so it builds up in the lungs and it blocks the airways. That is why it makes it difficult to breathe. This song is kind of sad because of the kid and the lyrics. Please watch.

Strange Skeletons

As you are all well aware, people have been dying for a long time. A lot of times the places these people die have been forgotten about, or built over. This means that skeletons of old cavemen or older generations are found all the time. Though, sometimes, the skeletons are found in such strange places or poses that even ordinary people take notice. Here are some examples of the strangest places skeletons have been found. The strangest pair of skeletons ever found would be the lovers of Valdaro. They are a pair of 6,000 year old skeletons found in Italy in 2007. The strange thing about them was that they died facing each other, with their arms around each other, like they were in a loving embrace. One theory is that they froze to death, holding each other for warmth. Another theory about them is that they died at different times, but were buried together.
The other strangest found skeleton would be the skeleton of King Richard the third. He stole the crown from his nephews, and later had them, as well as their parents (his brother and sister in law) killed. Understandably, he wasn't a good man, and he was a really hated king. When he was killed in battle, it was thought he was thrown into the Rover Soar. The truth was even less dignified. He was found in a parking Garage in England.
So, have you guys heard of any other strange burials? I know I have, but of them all, these are the ones I remember the most.

I love this video so much, it was too adorable not to post. I've been obsessed with dogs
recently only small dogs though. puppies. tea cup dogs. I want the animals in this video so bad
with their cute little puppy paws and chicky feet. SPEAKING OF CHICKENS LOOK AT THIS LINK PLEASE THE ONE DOWN THERE .Some of my class mates and I found it hilarious. It's pretty weird. A lady who is obsessed with chickens and gives them physical therapy.. this might be her life job and specialty, still it's weird.

Anyway, please enjoy this wonderful video I have very kindly provided for you because Mr. Diego forced me to post something. This is a pointless video but it might make your day better only because the animals are so amazingly cute. byeee.

We're all happy about the Iphone 6

So, the Iphone 6 came out like 1 week ago? Maybe 2? I'm not sure; the weeks have been a blur for me. Anyway, there wasn't that big of a hype about it, so I knew literally nothing about the Iphone 6, much less that there was and Iphone 6 plus!!! It's bigger; possibly wider, and most definitely, the epitome of revolutionary. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like, unless you're counting the other smaller versions of it. The only con I can see is how small people could possibly grab it in one hand with ease. They might need both hands.

Forget how coy they're acting, it's obvious that the plus is bigger. All kidding aside, is bigger a good thing? I mean, it might be too big.

On the other hand, if you bend it far enough, you could have an early 2000s relapse and have a flip-phone.

Alien invasion prank!

Here is an alien invasion prank played on this guy that was sleeping and he woke up to find this people dressed in alien suit. These people who made this prank was filmed in Berlin, and this prank was to scare their friend who was sleeping.

It starts by entering the room with a laser pointer, and starts to point the laser at the friend until he wakes up. When the friend wakes up, he finds two people dressed in alien suits and starts to panic. Before the prank ends, the friend starts to scream uncontrollably and hides.  And when the prank ended, the people dressed in alien suits went to get for their friend, but he was to scare to receive the water from them and was in shock.

The people said, “We teamed up to scare our friend and it worked very well, but our friend was in shock for a while and we had to calm him down.”

However, the prank was successful and they had fun with the prank scaring his friend.

The first person to get the iPhone 6 drops it on live TV

Australian Jack Cooksey was the first person in Perth, Australia, to get the new iPhone 6, making him one of the first people in the world to get a new iPhone. So he was interviewed on TV. And it all went wrong.
Struggling with the lid of the box, and no doubt nervous at being the subject of a TV interview just for being the first person to have the iPhone 6, Jack applied a little too much force and saw his new iPhone 6 slipping out of the box and onto the ground.
When Jack grab the iPhone 6 from the ground, it didn't seem to be damaged, and Jack said "It's all good" - but it hit the ground with such force it's hard to imagine it escaping without a scratch, at least. Jack told the Perth Sunday Times, "I dropped it in a panic to get it open, luckily it's covered in plastic, so it's fine."

He also said he was looking forward to sitting down and playing with the new phone.

Slow Mo Guys

These two guys are called The Slow Mo Guys and they make videos and they get the most epic scence and they put it in slow motion. The first video is how someone looks when you throw them a soccer ball, though that soccer ball in that video is full of water. His face is so funny when he gets hit. The second video is how you look in slow motion when you vomit. He drinks almost a full gallon of milk until he felt sick. He puked and it is kind of gross but funny at the same time in slow motion. The third video is about a water ballon fight with 1500 people. I love that video, it is so cool. The names of the two guys are Gav and Dan. Gav and Dan take on the World in slow motion. They shoot all of their videos in HD using high speed cinema cameras and they highly recommend you to watch them that way if you can. The Slow Mo Guys channel has 4,382,224 subscribers. They joined YouTube on August 15,2010. I think their videos are so cool and funny, worth to watch. :)

Mockingjay trailer!

I know a lot of us really hated the way Mockingjay turned out. I mean, really hated it, everything basically goes off the deep end, and wow...I’d love to go into this in more detail, but I’d hate to spoil anything. Though, wow, the last book was insane! Though that doesn’t mean we didn't faint the second we found out the new Mockingjay trailer was out. It looks really good, and hints enough to get people interested. The scenes with Rue were really touching, and I loved what Snow said about, “the things we love most are what ends up destroying us.” I don’t think that’s always true, but there are a lot of instances where that does turn out to be the case. Like say you liked killing people. As long as you never got caught, you could keep on doing what you love, without getting killed for loving that thing. Though, there are much better hobbies out there. Personally, I like woodcarving. So, while I don't believe in what Snow is saying, it sounds really cool! How many of you guys are planning on seeing it? I can’t wait to see it, and i'm really glad it isn't another two part movie.

Where's The Little Girl??

Loosle showed me this video. It's funny, but weird. I hope actual cops don't that because would be really scared. The background you can hear the radio talking about turtles, and I thought it was interesting because I actually kind of like turtles. If I had a turtle I would name it Giuseppey, and I would paint purple triangles all over his shell. I would also build him a turtle house, far away from those deadly train-tracks. He would be my best-friend forever, until he dies in some train-tracks. Thank you Mr. Lemus for playing Halo with us and being a rad dude. Now you know you can always buy me a pet turtle and I'd be really happy.

Funny clown scare prank!

Those merry jokesters at DM Pranks are at it again, bringing us a third installment of their "Killer Clown" scare pranks and this time the wicked clown has brought along his equally-as-terrifying uncle to join in on the bloody fun.
Whether you have a fear of clowns or not, you have to admit that these pranks would cause you to soil your pants if you were the victim or mark. And if a clown with a giant hammer isn't scary enough, check out what Uncle Clowny does with a steamroller! It's hilarious stuff, indeed, but I'd hate to be on the receiving end of this prank.
At first they came with the “Killer Clown Prank”. Now, they’re back with “Killer Clown 3 – The Uncle!”

Anyhow, comment if this video made you either laugh or become of clowns. YouTube is always filled with exciting pranks!

Hope you enjoy the video!

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is an upcoming 2014 epic fantasy adventure film, directed by Peter Jackson and written by Jackson, Fran WalshPhilippa Boyens, and Guillermo del Toro."(Wikipedia.com).  The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is based on a the book The Hobbit. The other two more movies before the this one are The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. "The Company of Thorin has reached Smaug's lair; but can Bilbo and the Dwarves reclaim Erebor and the treasure? And, if so, can they hold on to it?" (IMDb.com). This movie is going to be the last The Hobbit movie. I think it is going to be so epic with so much wars, fighting, drama, and so much epic stuff. I am very excited for this movie. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is going to be released on December 12, 2014.

The cast of the movie is:

Conspiracy Theories

One thing I've always found interesting is conspiracy theories. I love hearing about all the strange things our politicians are doing. The only thing better is finding out they are true. I have spent a lot of time trying to spot the owl/satanic mark in a dollar bill. A lot more time than I should of, and I still couldn't see anything. One time I saw a (downtrodden) Free Mason meeting place, and I fangirled out really hard. One thing thats scary is how many of these theories have turned out to be true. Remember the NSA? I was stunned when I heard that, turns out I had too much faith in the American gov. I think for he most part conspiracy theories are made by people who just want to blame something, and figure they might as well blame the president/anybody they don't like. I cant believe anybody would ever admit to being part of a conspiracy theory. If its something so implausible, not even a guy in a tinfoil hat would believe it, you might as well not admit it. Unless its let to the loss of life, which has happened a lot. In this video the most surprising part was finding out about the "owl society" or whatever its called.

Akinator

Akinator is a game that guesses what you're thinking of by asking you questions. If you're thinking of spiderman or superman, it will know that you're thinking of by asking you around 20 questions. and the weird thing is that you can see it knows what you're thinking of by the question it asks. If you choose spiderman and it asks you if you're character is related to spiders, you know that it knows what you're thinking of. Something funny you should try is to think of yourself and answer the questions. Sometimes it doesn't even ask you all 20 questions, it just guesses since and makes you feel confused. Akinator is also an app on the app store so you can play it when you have nothing else to do. Sometimes it will get it wrong but most of the time it will get it right. you can give it 5 answers yes, no, don't know, probably, or probably not. Its quite creepy when it guesses something you wouldnt think it would, so I recommend you try it out.

Mutant giant spider dog

A man in Poland has pulled off a hilarious mutant spider dog prank. Notorious jokester SA Wardega dressed up a little dog called Chica as a spider and let him loose in the streets of Poland, where he scared dozens of people.
The prank begins with a mysterious mutant commanding the spider dog to attack in the dark. Chica (the dog) first sets his sights on a man carrying a large plastic bag, which he quickly throws to the ground when he sees the creature. At the end of the video we find out the truth behind this supposed mutant. The final scenes show Wardega playing with the dog in the grass, and a camera close up reveals that he is just a dog dressed as a spider.

Before creating this video, Wardega became famous for several pranks he did.  In recent years, he created a fake version of the internet meme Slenderman and even tricked the police into chasing him to make sure the cops were physically fit. But his mutant spider dog prank is by far his most popular video and had 41 million views in less than a week.

The Power of a bookbook

Hello! Yesterday I saw this funny video which makes fun of technology by imitating commercials from Apple and Samsung. This video shows how useful real objects can be and all you can do with them. This video is great because its funny while being realistic. This makes you question how useful electronic devices actually are since you can have most features of say, a kindle with a real book. This video is a commercial for IKEA. IKEA released a catalog for their products and they decided to make a funny commercial for it. I like the idea of a funny commercial because it makes the person watching it remember it more than with a normal boring commercial. It kind of makes me want to get a bookbook and do all the things that happen in this video. I think this is a great idea for a commercial because you will remember it unlike other commercials. some people might think this is a bad commercial since a lot of the people who will watch this might have an apple or samsung product.

Jibo: Fun Family Failure or Laughable Failure?

For those of you who don't know, there's something known as a JIBO out there. Somewhere. Lurking. Watching. Waiting. Casually helping out a family with basic tech tasks. JIBO is a home android made for family use. He's family friendly, comes in black and white, has a high non-violent voice, the whole scha-blang. Seems pretty cool. Seems like a step forward in turning the Terminator movies into our imminent reality. But, taking a step back to reevaluate, we come to wonder; is this the best JIBO can do? If you hadn't noticed JIBO most likely needs to be plugged in at all times, and it's not like it teleports from place to place within your house. You have to lug that swivelly thing under your arm so you can skype your son who made an excuse who made an excuse to not show up on the Holidays. I won't lie; it's a great product. I just think they could've done a lot better if they're charging over 200 dollars. *Disclaimer: I'm usually not so harsh, but I thought it made things interesting and you probably won't read all of it. Watch the vid and comment what you think!

As many of you have noticed, I really like horror stories. I don't know why, theres just something so interesting about horror stories. The scarier they are, the better they tend to be. Some of my favorite ghost stores are Japanese ghost stories, because of the bloodiness and especially strangeness. Some of my two favorite Japanese ghost stories are those of the Teke-Teke and the slit mouthed woman.

Teke-Teke
One day a boy was walking home from school. While there he spotted a girl sitting in the window of a nearby school, propped up on her elbows. Calling to her he asked what she was doing there. she replied saying "Waiting for somebody." The boy decided to continue walking home. Suddenly he heard a a loud thud. It was the girl, laying like a broken toy on the cement. The boy was walking up to her, when suddenly she started moving. Screaming like a banshee she dragged herself up to the boy, pulling herself along by her elbows, leaving a bloody trail behind her. they boy tried to run, but before he could get far, she dragged herself to him and cut him in half, just like she had been cut in half by a train a few years before.

I love how strange this is. Why is the ghost sitting in the window of a school? Why is she killing people? How did she manage to drag herself to a guy on her elbows! Alas, the world will never know.

Another good ghost story is the slit mouthed woman, She appears to be a normal woman, but she also has a slit mouth, that she covers with a mask. Instead of outright killing people, she first takes off her mask and asks the victim if she's pretty. In some versions no matter what you say you get your mouth slit, and in some versions saying she's so-so is the only way to confuse her and escape.
The cool thing about this story is that for a while it was a really big thing in Japan and South Korea. According to reports, some schools only let kids leave in groups or guarded by teachers. I'm not sure how that would help, but they did it anyway. Then in South Korea, there were reports of a Woman with a red mask who used to chase children. There was also a (supposed) coroners report was found that mentioned a woman who was hit by a car while chasing children, and that somehow the accident was bad enough that she died with her mouth was ripped from ear to ear.

Does this make you hungry?

By: Mariana Ochoa

These cooking videos always make me hungry! Do they look amazing or what? Macarons are probably my favorite cookies but they are so hard to make so it's not like I can have them all the time. If you are actually reading what I wrote, tell me what your favorite cookies or even desserts are,in the comments bellow. Check out the other videos by the same people who made this video, all of their cooking videos are amazing and will make your mouth water. Eating good is so important, not good as in healthy but good as in delicious, only because it makes your life so much better, and happier, who doesn't love eating??
