Akinator

Akinator is a game that guesses what you're thinking of by asking you questions. If you're thinking of spiderman or superman, it will know that you're thinking of by asking you around 20 questions. and the weird thing is that you can see it knows what you're thinking of by the question it asks. If you choose spiderman and it asks you if you're character is related to spiders, you know that it knows what you're thinking of. Something funny you should try is to think of yourself and answer the questions. Sometimes it doesn't even ask you all 20 questions, it just guesses since and makes you feel confused. Akinator is also an app on the app store so you can play it when you have nothing else to do. Sometimes it will get it wrong but most of the time it will get it right. you can give it 5 answers yes, no, don't know, probably, or probably not. Its quite creepy when it guesses something you wouldnt think it would, so I recommend you try it out.

  1. Wow, this thing is addicting, I love trying to think up obscure characters for him to guess. Its kind of scary how he always gets it right.

  2. Ohhh! But this is just guessing it is not true. any one can guess if you give them clues! It would be amazing if they just said the character without asking for any clues.

  3. What a weird game... What happens if I answer all the questions as "Don't know", or "Probably"? Does it still guess what I think even though I don't give a clear answer? Looks interesting, but I think it will be boring soon.

  5. This game is so fun and interesting. I don't know how it guesses right!!! It works with real person and book character so it's more interesting! Also you can try it different languages. Once, I tried in Korean and it still guesses!!! I think it's really interesting game.

  7. I love this game, but I thought it was only on the tablet or the Ipad, thanks for telling me it is in the PC. No I have more ways to play it.

  11. I have never heard of this game before, but from the looks of it, it looks interesting! It's quite amazing that he guess what you are thinking of, no matter how vague or obscure. This actually reminds me of a little game I used to own when I was younger called 20Q. (Not a Q as in quetzal, but as in Questions) It was pretty addicting because just like Akinator, it was able to guess your subject within only a few questions! :)

  12. Oh, I used it long time ago in Korean, it guesses every characters I know. However some times he guesses it wrong and takes a while to get the answer but it is super addicting.

  13. I tried this game a long time ago. I thought it was a waste of time. Wherever answer you would give, it will always give to same result. That's why I think it is a waste of time.

  14. I've tried this app/game a while ago and at first, it was interesting how it really guessed what I had in my mind. However, after doing it several times, I found out it asks you enough questions for most of the details it needs to know the answer. This could be used as a magic trick for little kids.

  15. I don't like this game. It's good to play only when you are really bored and have nothing to do. I can see that this doesn't really tell me anything. Maybe this is going to be fun for the little kids. They might think this is really entertaining and cool and also will be really impressed about their 'magic trick'. However, good post.

  16. So, I tried it and I was honestly quite impressed. I kept throwing increasingly obscure characters at it, but it never failed once. However, one of my characters was obscure enough that he had to ask over 30 questions. Either that or I wasn't descriptive enough (The character was Homestar Runner). Really cool system, and I thought it was cool that he gave the appearance of becoming frustrated or finding inspiration.

  17. I found out about Akinator a couple of years ago, for the 2010 World Cup. My uncle showed me the app and told me to think of someone and answer the respective question. Instantly, I was stupefied. I couldn't believe a computer/mobile application could essentially "read my mind." Every once in a while, we use it with my brother and it still is equally as fun and awesome.

  18. I remember playing Akinator when I was in the 8th grade and it was really fun at the time. However, it got boring when I didn't have anyone to think of anymore. It's amazing how he can guess who the person you're thinking of is in 20 questions.

  19. Me and Ivette played akinator for a while. It guessed most of our characters, but we were able to completley beat it once. I had played this before but it is impressive how updated it is, it already had all of the Maze Runner characters.

  20. I used to play Akinator when I was in 5th grade. It's really cool because it guessed all of my characters back then, but this time when I played I made it a bit harder and it guessed half of the characters. It's fun and cool.

  21. This game is fun, but I'm so annoyed of it. The boys in my class can't stop playing, but now i see why it's fun. It guesses most of the characters I say, but not all.
