Most Shocking Second a Day Video

I saw this video yesterday at home and I wanted to share it with you guys because I thought that it was a touching video and it make us see and appreciate all the good things that we have in our life. The video it's about the transition of a little happy normal girl that is living her life like probably all we did at that young age but unfortunately she didn't had the same luck like us thanks to the wars that are happening in her country, Syria. It made me feel really sad when I watched it because is not only that little girl that is going through that hard and painful moment, there are more of those innocent kids in the world that are not guilty of anything in that same situation as her of being in the middle of the wars.

When I finished to watch the video, it made me think a lot about how lucky I am and about all the good things and moments that have happened in my life but sadly, sometime we do not appreciate them because we are busy thinking about all the the other little bad things that in comparison, are nothing with what this kids are passing through.

  1. For a child actor, she's quite impressive. She has the thousand-yard-stare down pat. The video does make you think, it was a great advertisement to raise awareness most definitely. After watching it I began to pay closer attention to the news and really be more aware of my sense of empathy. It's easy to get caught up in your own life and not realize that there's a whole world of people out there and things happening on a bigger scale.

  2. Wow, I'm impressed with this video. It's so touching and true. Sometimes we just get carried away by our problems and forget about all the good things and people that surround us. We just have to remember to be grateful for what we have because not everyone has it. Like this girl, there are many people that are in worse situations than us.

  3. I think that we all complain about our lives. As humans, that´s what we do at our age, because we tend to not think about those who are living a much worse life, like all those kids in Syria. Even though it´s human nature, I agree with you. We have to stop midway through our complaining, think about those who are really suffering and appreciate all the things we do have, because we will probably lose them all like this little girl, and we will miss them.

  4. WOW!!! That was cool at the beginning, but at the end is horrible!!! It is true that it may not happen here, but it is happening in other places. Once I made a new about the children of Syria. It was awful searching for picture for my presentation. I hated that News report. I hated it. I was about to cry when I found images.

  5. I watched this video last week, and it made me think, who made this video? Which country made this commercial. This is happening on Syria, but is the person, or country, helping this situation?

    1. This person might not being helping physically, like going out to Syria and helping, but that doesn't mean this person is not helping. Look at all these comments. Everyone is sad and they probably all feel motivated to help make a change. That might not mean they will actually make a change, but that's on them, not on the person who took the time to make the video and spread this message. I hope that all of will try to make a change, however small and in whatever way we can.

  6. There are many ways to spread the word when one is in need of help during a conflict. This is one of the strongest because it shows life as we know it turning into something horrific. Its more of a, what if that were you type of situation. Help is needed in many places and its good to make it well known which places.. This video is a great example of this and it truly makes one want to do something about it.

  7. This is a sad reality millions of people are currently living in Syria. It is certainly incredible that the situation of such country changed so drastically in a matter of a few years. Hopefully this situation will come to an end soon, and I firmly believe that the approach being taken to counteract this civil war is a terrible one. The best way to get rid of violence is not through more violence. Unfortunately this is what they are doing in Syria at this point in time.

  8. This video made me feel heart-broken. I have been doing my Monthly News in grammar about Syria since the 8th grade, and it's mind-blowing to see that about 100,000 people have died in this civil war. Many children have lost their parents and no one is doing anything about this situation. The only thing Obama cares about in this whole bloodshed is that the rebels aren't using chemical weapons anymore, and the international peace talks they hold almost every month are supposed to come up with a solution for Syria, but they haven't. This whole topic infuriates me.

  9. Wow, this was heart breaking. I honestly think it's absurd how so drastically different every life is. I mean, let's admit it, we all complain about our lives probably every single day. Something isn't going right, so we feel the need to complain. But watching a video like this makes me realize just how lucky and safe I really am. It's been incredibly heart-breaking to watch the situation in Syria unfold like it has for the past few years. I really hope something changes for the good, and soon.

  10. Despite the fact that this was an advertisement or a video to spread awareness, I am so impressed with how real and how genuine it portrays the message to be. I am speechless. It is so heart-breaking to see the affect that the war is having on the youth. So tragic.

  11. I like the idea behind the video. I feel like it will actually reach people. I also agree with Lindsey that it is very well portrayed. The amount of detail put into it is amazing.

  12. Because so many new things have been arising lately, like Venezuela, Ukraine, and the Malaysian plane, Syria's situation seems to have been placed in the back of our minds. This video is a good reminder that although Syria's uprising might seem like "old news" to the rest of the world, the danger the people are in will never be old news.

  13. After watching this video I was left speechless. I could feel the stress and intense the little girl went through. I am trying not to complain about my circumstance because I already live in happiness. I should learn to appreciate what I have now, and to care what's happening in the other side of the world because, as it says in the video, just it isn't happening here, doesn't mean it is not happening.

  15. It was a very shocking video. It was very touching, but it was also very inspirational. It makes you want to appreciate your life. It also makes you want to live each day to the fullest. You always hear this, but we always forget to apply it to our lives. One important factor is that even though we are living well right now, we must not forget to pray for the lives of others because it could be you.

  16. I thought this video was going to be happy but when I kept on watching I was shocked. It's sad that kids in Syria get to live with violence and not a great childhood like most of us. It's very sad, and I would love to help those little kids.

  17. This video is very touching and it dos make you appreciate life. It also makes you notice how lucky we are that we aren't in the middle of a war or in a really bad situation. I felt really bad seeing how an innocent girl went through all of that trouble when she didn't deserve it.
