It's NOT about the Nail

Ever try to tell something to someone just for the sake of getting out of you -not expecting advice or criticism- but feel frustrated because that someone keeps trying to say something that you don't want to hear? Or have you ever tried to help someone because you know something that they don't know but they're not willing to listen? Annoying, isn't it? There are people who just want to please others instead of saying what they really think, and those are the people who would probably keep quiet in a situation that requires interfering. On the other hand, there are people who just say whatever they want to, not thinking about other people's thoughts or feelings. There are circumstances that it's better to keep quiet, and there are other times when it's right to speak up. However, sometimes the line dividing those two can be blurry, and most people are not able to identify it. Have you ever struggled because of that? What are some experiences that you have when you don't know whether you should keep quiet or you should speak up?

  1. Sometimes I feel that when they ask me a question, and I think I know the perfect answer for it. But at the same time I am feeling like what if the answer is wrong or what if it is right. I am doubting about myself in that moment so I better stay quiet and don't say anything.

  2. It is about the nail. This is so funny. Why doesn't he takes her to the doctor? It is obvious that she needs to take it out. How did she got the nail?

  5. That video is really funny! I also think the same when I want to help out somebody and all they do is trying to get rid what I try to say. All I ever wanted to do is help them out! Honestly I do that sometimes when I have to stop and listen to what they say because not every time people are going to listen! They will also be willing to help you!

  6. Ok honestly before I watched the video, I was expecting it to be so serious and about speaking up for what you believe in, you know? I don't know, I just pictured the video being about bullying or something like that, but boy was I wrong! Anyway, other than the hilarious video, I agree with what Gaby said! I really really hate it when, in class, the teacher asks a question, and the whole class goes silent, meanwhile in my head, I'm screaming the answer, but that little voice in the back of my head says "Don't say it, it's probably wrong anyway.", so I stay quiet. Right when I decide to stay quiet, another random person in class yells "It's the Invisible Hand!!!" and you just sit there thinking, "Yup. I was right." while the teacher congratulates the other student for actually answering the question. I should learn how to speak up :P

  7. This video is hilarious! When I read the paragraph, I felt all serious and started to think about the times where I talk to certain people and realize they are not the right person to talk to because they don't give a crap about what you have to say. Then when I saw the video, it just made me feel better and I really thought the girl should talk to someone more "reasonable".
