Uselessly Important

We all know about the SAT. Yeah, I feel like throwing up when I hear that. Well, this useless test is apperantly super important when applying to college. For some reason, college admission officers put too much important in your scores.
Well, guess what? The SAT is completely and utterly useless! It doesn't really tell a university how good of a student you are, and, thankfully, many colleges are starting to realize this. But, of course, the prestigious Ivy Leagues are still on the haunt of applicants with perfect scores.
Actually, the man in charge of College Board, the place where you subscribe for the test, has declared himself that the SAT has several flaws and in many cases does not fully emphasize what someone is capable of. There is always someone who gets good scores, of course, and for those people, the test is a door opening opportunity. Unfortunately, that's not the case for me.

Anyways, everyone in the 12th Grade is feeling completely stressed about the test. Either because they already took it or are waiting to take it to get this over with. I'm one of those who have not taken the test yet. Although I have taken some practice tests, and, let me tell you, I completely suck! So, everyone, brace yourself for the most annoying test preparation of your life. Seriously, every college in the world should just ditch this test.

Yes, this is how I feel about taking the test.

  1. The SAT, in my opinion, measures nothing more than how good you are taking the SAT. Getting a great SAT score doesn't necessarily mean that you're smart, although it is very helpful to get a reasonable SAT score. They've told me that the four hours you spend taking the test determine the four years of your university degree and those can play an important role in the next forty years of your entire life. In other words, taking the SAT can be essential for the rest of your life.

  2. As you described the SAT test, it seems that is a horrible test and also that you hate it. Well, in my case I think I will not take SAT since I am leaving soon.

  3. I think in general test are useless we take them every 2 weeks and they count more than are acutually homework.I think this should be reversed the homework is how you know if a student is paying attention test are just summaries of what we learned but not in depth stuff. And also what if you get an amazing grade in the SAT but when you start college you´re a terrible one.Test simply dont make any sense.

  7. Oh, man! If the only thing standing between me and a good university is an utterly useless test that'll only stress me out, then college will probably be a brutal time for me.

  8. I agree with you that colleges put too much emphasize on the SAT, but I think it is necessary at a certain level.
