Lot's of people have been fighting over the famous dress. Some say that it is "black and blue", and others say that it is "white and gold"...well the truth is that the dress is actually black and blue. Humans interpret color depending on the shadow and the type of lighting it is being used on the photo. This video explains why we see the dress as we do. If you were in Art yesterday you will probably understand it a little better. I personally find it really interesting how we all see stuff differently. At first I didn't understand but if you really think about it you will eventually. I see the dress as "black and blue", but when people told me that they saw it "white and gold" I thought that they were crazy... or I was.  Asapscience videos have a lot of fun and cool thing we can learn. I recommend it to everybody because sometimes we have a doubt or are just curious, and most of these videos have the answers.

  1. Thank goodness AsapScience posted the explanation of "the dress" because I think it's about time that we all stop worrying about it and focus on what is really important in life. Having said that, there is a good lesson behind the dress. We need to accept the fact that sometimes when our views are different from each other, there may be nothing we can do about it.

  2. Man, I am so tired of hearing stuff about this dress. I really see no point in people fighting over what color it is. People have different perspectives and we should learn to respect them. A lot of people where making fun of me because I saw the dress blue and black. I found that really annoying because they were saying I was wrong, which by the way i wasn't, and that made me so angry. We should all learn to respect each other's opinions and points of view because not everyone will agree with what you said!

  3. Thanks goodness someone finally put explanation! Well at first I saw it black and blue but I really wanted to see white so I tried all sort of things to see white and now I see it blue at the bottom but I see it white at the top. Pretty interesting.

  4. I think that this event was really important and that it was actually really helpful for people to understand that we sometimes see things differently. We also learned out of curiosity that our eyes receive light differently.

  14. Nice to see a scientific explanation. I always saw black and blue, but was surprised to hear that only 20% of the people who saw the dress saw it that way. I know some people who see white and gold if they stare at it from the side, but directly it looks black and blue.
