Swaggy Stitch Runway Rehearsal

Spirit week was ended by the teacher fashion show, everybody enjoyed it a lot. There were many creative costumes like Effie Trinket and Gandalf. I bet we recognized most of them, but some classes were a bit more creative. I am unsure of what Mrs. Megan was supposed to be, Mrs. Michelle was a renaissance princess, Don Lemus was Swaggy Stitch, Mr. Hendrix was Gandalf, Mrs. Sarah was Effie Trinket, and Mrs. Barillas was a mad scientist. I personally found it very funny to watch all our teachers who are usually quite serious strut down the runway. Something special about each teacher was that most of them had a saying. For example Effie Trinket said “May the odds be ever in your favor!” In the end the judges decided and there was a tie between 9th and 10th grade.

I have some contacts and was able to get some backstage rehearsal footage. Here is Don Lemus aka Swaggy Stitch practicing his strut. Credits to Marcia for filming! Hope you enjoy this hilarious video!!!

(I have been trying to upload this post for a long time, but had some problems with the video)

  2. Hahaha I love this. Don Lemus had a great costume as Swaggy Stich. He most definitely can not be a model though his strut isn't sassy enough. Sorry Mr.

  3. That was awesome! I guess this is why Mr. Diego and Mr. Hendrix won. As they say, practice makes perfect, and with the 'highly-qualified-model-counseling' skills portrayed by the ninth grade in this video, there is no doubt about that. I think STUCO made that activity really fun and it should be repeated in upcoming years.

  4. Wow, model training looks hard. How did you get him to agree to this? Bribery or blackmail?

  5. So far this has been the best spirit event. It was really funny, but the teachers rocked that runway. The costume ideas were also really good and hilarious. I am so thankful to our teachers because they dressed up like this so we could laugh and have a smile on our faces. Thank you teachers for this!

  7. I think all the teachers did really well! Personally, if it had been my choice, they would have all tied. We should do more activities like this because not only does it involve the students' spirit, but the teachers were able to join in as well. This video was really entertaining, so thanks for sharing!

  8. Now I see why 9th grade won the spirit event...They had chosen stitch pls. Probably the better custom on the school, maybe Mr. Hendrix could had make a different and he did. The two of you had the best customs that's why the two grades won.

  9. Hahaha this was so funny! Seeing Mr. Diego rehearse in person was even funnier because he was so into it! I love how all the teachers were really focused and tried their hardest to walk down the "runway" and say specific quotes from their characters. I think we should have another spirit week (and you all should thank me for coming up with the idea of a teacher runway show).

  18. You are very welcome Laura. I loved this activity and Mr. Diego was such a good sport when we were making him do so many embarrassing things. I loved how everyone had a theme for the teacher getting dressed when we were just naming things to put on him.
