Hey everybody I'm back again and today I will talk about my favorite singer "Weird" Al Yankovic. He makes parodies of well-known songs to his very recent album Mandatory Fun. Some recent examples on his album are Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrel Willliams renamed Word Crimes, Happy by Pharrel Williams renamed Tacky, Royals by Lorde renamed Foil, Fancy by Iggy Azeala and Charli XCX renamed Handy, and Radioactive by Imagine Dragons renamed Inactive. He also made some songs by himself like First World Problems and Lame Claim to Fame. Mandatory Fun reached #1 in the Unites States.
My favorite song is called Now That's What I Call Polka. It's a mashup of old songs into one song. It's kind of like the DJ Earworm remix but it's not too similar. The mashup includes popular songs like, Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus, Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People, Best Song Ever by One Direction, Gangnam Style by Psy, Call Me Maybe by Carla Rae Jepson, Scream And Shout by will.i.am and Britney Spears, Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye and Kimbra, Timber by Ke$ha and Pitbull, Sexy And I Know It by LMFAO, Thrift Shop by Mackelmore and Ryan lewis with Wanz, and Get Lucky by Daft Punk and Pharrel Williams.
What did you think of the song? Do you like "Weird" Al Yankovic? Did you watch some of his other song parodies before? What favorite song from the mashup do you like the most?
