Many of you probably already know about The Hunger Games, the book series created by Suzanne Collins. If you have no idea of what this is, then, you must know that it's basically set in the future, when all America has disappeared, except North America. There are 12 districts, which are governed by "The Capital". In order to show all the citizens that they have all the power, each year, they assign a boy and a girl to fight to death (live) at an arena. The thing is, that this wonderful series is going to be a movie!! Its coming in May, and the two main characters are going to be starred by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.
By watching the trailer, what do you think about the plot? Would you watch it? And most importantly, what would you do if you where forced to participate?

The trailer is super cool and interesting. I think the plot of this is they get forced to participate in i dont know what it is but.. However they participate and forced to play something with other participants. If I get forced to participate I would just die. i think i dont know.

ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see this movie! I have read the books 5 different times. The plot is extremely interesting and keeps you wanting to read more. If I had to participate in the games I would actually be curious and anxious. To me I think it would in some ways be an interesting experience to participate in the games but not fun to kill people :(

ReplyDeleteI have never read the books but I hear great things about it. I hope the movie is almost as good as the book because I'm going to watch it. I can't wait for The Hobbit.

ReplyDeleteI am dying to read this book but the thing is that my mom said i can't get any more on my i[ad until i finish reading the ones that I already have. I have to finish 4 books and that means I can't read the Hunger Games until after the movie comes out. But I have seen the trailer tons of times it seems so interesting and violent. I am still amazed that the future could be so cruel as to do such a thing with children. I am still a little confused with the plot though

ReplyDeleteActually, it's coming out on March 23, this Friday. I'm so excited, and I can hardly wait. I think that the plot was very ingenious, although a lot of people might disagree. Some might not like the series because of how violent they are, but I think that it's something of a possibility for a distant future.
ReplyDeleteI read the beginning of this book and it didn't really interest me. Even tho it was interesting how they pick people and let them survive until the last person, it really takes the opinion of the person to be herd. I'm still waiting to see that the movie will com out
ReplyDeleteThe hunger games series were really good. The first book was my favorite, and my least favorite is the last one. I like the author constructed the plot and how she made each characters special, in their own way.

I read the books and they were good. I am not sure how the movie is going to be, because sometimes the books are way better than the movies. Still, the movie looks interesting. If I was ever chosen to be one of the participants, I would do the best I can to survive and to see my family again. I thin that the climax of this book is when she, I forgot her name, offers herself instead of her sister. Of course you know the resolution of the book and I do not want to ruin the book for people so I will not say it...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the series but I've seen a lots of people waiting for the movie to come out and now I am curious how good the series is. I wish I read the book series but I don't think I would because when I read books in series, I got bored so easily, but I will go watch the movie:)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the books however from people have told me and what I know from glimpsing at the book, it is one of the worst premises for a book i have seen since Captain Underpants. 'districts' competing for some sort of preference. Come on people. Humans are heartless not hate filled there's a difference. The romance was explainable and added to the character but this weird Lord of The Flies remake is just to out there.
ReplyDeleteI have never read the books, but I have seen how many people talk about how they're awesome, etc, and after watching the trailer I feel like wanting to read the books. The plot seems interesting, but then again, all of these post-apocalyptic books are very common. Though I still can't see why it would be necessary for kids to kill each other, is it because of the lack of supplies and resources?

I saw the movie, and I though that the movie was pretty violent. My mother the first thing she said is that it was a really violent movie and that this is not for kids, and I totally agree. The movie was bloodier than the book.
