Illusions

Illusions
By: Marcia Orellana

"We don't live in a world of reality but in a world of perceptions." The video below has a set of instructions that you have to follow precisely so it can actually work. I would recommend doing it in a place free of distractions or in a semi-dark room. Warning: be careful while watching this. If you suffer from photosensitive epilepsy (if you don't know what it means search it up) don't even dare to do it. It can damage your eyesight.
I have seen many of this videos, nonetheless, I have never actually found one that worked until now. I was in a semi-dark room and it took my three minutes to regain my normal eyesight. However, it felt so cool. It feels like you are in a pool and you opened your eyes underwater. You feel like the whole world is spinning even though you haven't moved from your seat or spot. You also start getting dizzy and it might start giving you a headache. Yet the hypnosis is so strong that it is better that you don't try to move while you are still in the trance.
To conclude with this post, please watch the letters carefully and pay close attention to whatever comes up to the screen (nothing creepy is going to appear... or will it?).  Try to form the letters into words.
Here are some questions I would like to ask you: Did it work? How dude you feel while it happened? If you can relate the feeling to something what would it be?

I hope you enjoy it! And remember watch this at your own risk.

  1. That was pretty cool! I got a little dizzy, but thankfully not by much. Actually, I forgot that I had to put the letters into words until halfway through, haha. I wasn't able to watch the video in a dark room, which is probably why it didn't affect me as much as it did you. I'll have to try it again sometime. Thanks for sharing Marcia! :)

  3. Most illusions in the internet are similar; they just make you look in the middle of a an image turning around and around. The effect is always that you see things moving in a blurry way.

  7. This is amazing! I am impressed by the tricks you can play on your body. But one must always be careful, for sometimes it may turn out to be dangerous...

  9. Haha this reminds me of my childhood. I would always look up optical illusions just for the sole purpose of getting dizzy and seeing different patterns. However, they are just a waste of time now.
