Russians read this blog.

What you're looking at is the all time pageviews (as of November 4th, 2011) for The English Department. What it means is that people in from Russia to Singapore to England are viewing what you write. What do you think of the reality that people in such far-flung parts of the globe are part of our little blog community?

  1. I really think that if people from the other side of the world are observing what we write on this blog, I guess it means they are really interested in reading what we write! This means our blogs should be really good so that we have more visitors. :)

  2. Cool!!! It's awesome how people from all over our planet read our excellent writing. How do we know if there's a book or story publisher out there that reads our blogposts? Our school is becoming known worldwide, I believe. Really, this blog is just superb!

  3. Guatemala is the main country that uses this site.
Therefore, even if this site is in english, Guatemala (a spanish-speaking country) is probably the country that the people that manage and own the English Department are most aware about. * I just noticed this, scroll to the very top of the page and you will find that the blue bar should be in spanish! :P

  4. Although I can't imagine why would Russians read our blog, it is cool anyhow. The high number of the United States is also surprising too. This is a pleasant surprise.

  5. It is interesting that people who are not in EAS community saw these blog posts and comments, and I wonder what they thought about the blog and us. They might think we were smart!

  9. Mr. AB, just for the record, I don't even know where Slovenia is!!! I wonder if the people who visit our blog just came upon it once, or if they actually check back on it. What I really want to know is what they think about us and our writing. Also, WHY DON'T THEY COMMENT?!?!?!?! Personally, I would really enjoy reading their comments (as long as they're appropriate).

  14. It's amazing how Internet spreads so many things to so many places. I think this is cool in a way, but if you are running a blog that contains your ideas, it may spread very far away, which can be good and bad at the same time, but at the same time, it can be dangerous because there can be a lot of hacking by this reasons.

  15. I think it's wonderful that others are seeing this blog but, like Adriana said, I wonder if they actually look at it normally, or if they just happen to see the eng. dept. while looking for something else. Anyways it's super cool that people in different continents are seeing this blog!

  16. It is fascinating how the other countries visited our blogs. The people in United States who watched our blogs might be the ex-students of MR.AB. However I don't get how the Russians visited our blogs. May be, they were so attracted to our EAS student's works!

  17. I tried to show this blog to my friends from El Salvador but they can not enter to this blog. I do not know why but they are super interesting to see this page. We should make this blog bigger so all the world can watch it more frequently.

  18. That's insane!!! How did people from Russia come across this small English Department of ours? Did they just stumble upon on it, or did they intentionally look for it? I think its more logical to go for the the former.
