Have you ever experienced the grueling pressure that comes with setting up your answering device on your cellphones? If you have, you know just how difficult it is to come up with the right format of what to say without making it sound too forced, unnatural and odd. But sometimes it just comes out wrong and you need to keep on trying until you get it just right.
As some of you may remember, Lindsey created a blog post back in August about the sketch comedy group on BYUtv commonly known as Studio C. With the fifth season having just started this past week, Studio C has been releasing several short clips previewing what will be on the weekly episodes. This short clip is about recording devices and the stress of setting up your answering message. Give this a watch. Let me know if you have as hard a time in deciding just what to say. Also, tell me if you can name all the references included in this video! Please enjoy and watch the video below!
Thankfully I've never had to record a "please leave a message" thing, but I have no clue what I would do if I ever had to. Though when he was pretending to be Obama that was so hilarious! Or the golum! Though his first message was really good!
ReplyDeleteI laugh so hard every time I watch this video! Honestly, I think Jason Gray is so talented at impersonations and accents. I recognized Obama, Spongebob, Gollum, Doby, President Ucthdorf, The Cowbell guy, Johnny Depp, and I think another one that I can't remember. :) Thankfully I have never had this problem. :)
ReplyDeleteThankfully in Guatemala it is no tradition to leave a recording in your phone. But this video is very funny it reminds me of my cousin who has the same talent as this guy to make different voices and accents.
ReplyDeleteThis video is funny. In Guatemala they said "Deje su nombre y un mensaje" BEEP. I tried to change mine but I kept on redoing it again and again, but at the end. I just left it like that.
ReplyDeleteThis is funny! Here in Guate its very weird to leave a voice message so it doesn't really happen...
ReplyDeleteI remember when I tried to do that when I was back in Texas, but I got so frustrated about how my voice sounded and I didn't know what to put. So I just to leave it like the usual normal unoriginal tone it always gives you with the phone number at the end.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried changing my voice message... but now i don't want to try it! It looks so hard, besides, when i call someone and their voice message is personalized its kind of weird. Let's just let the lady do her work.
ReplyDeleteI love studio C. I watched the latest episode last night and I loved it. It was hilarious. I really liked this one because it explains why people never put voicemail messages because they think all of them sound baD. I can't wait for the next episode to come out!
ReplyDeleteI remember changing my message a couple years ago... I am not proud of how it ended up but I was too lazy to change it. I remember, I think, that my my parents tried to do the family one where we all shouted our names. It didn't work so we ended up not doing anything. I also remember my brother had the type where it sounded like he was answering the message. But this video is really funny and I really like studio C.
ReplyDeleteThis video is funny :D. I never tried changing my voice message... It's not that I'm lazy... but still. I think it's weird to change the voice message to your voice. I wouldn't want my voice to be heard by other people... But I really liked this video it was funny.
ReplyDeleteI have never personalized my voice mail message, its just so frustrating in general. On the other hand there are 4 type of people in this world. The one who doesn't personalize it (me). The one who just goes standard. The one who makes you think like they picked up but no... And then the overly excited couple or family. I found this so hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThis video is so funny, I don't understand the end part but him trying to get the correct voicemail.
ReplyDeleteWell, I never leave voice message. It is so fun to see that guy trying to have correct voice mail. Why doesn't he just leave it as it is? It seems really frustrating.
ReplyDeleteNo one ever calls me so I don't have the need to personalize my voice mail message... Haha I mean I always answer my phone, so there's no need to personalize my voice mail message.
ReplyDeleteThis is really funny! I love studio C their skits are so clean and entertaining haha. I also had this problem a lot and I ended up doing the exact same thing as the guy!
ReplyDeletethis is really funny!!
ReplyDeletethe same happened to a friend of mine.
Hahahaha! Although I've never done it before, it does seem hard to make a voice mail message for when you can't answer a phone call. It's also funny how you hear some people's voice messages and it doesn't really seem like them. When you know the person really well, you can even realize when the person doesn't know what to say and struggles to finish the message for example. The good thing, though, is that I'm not planning on recording a voice mail message for my phone, at least for the time being.
ReplyDeleteThis video is funny! Sincerely, I have never personalized my voice mail message for three reasons. The first, too much work. second, I really don't care. Finally, I never check my voice messages, so yeah. The video was still pretty hilarious and more towards the end. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis video made me laugh so much
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA!!! This video is funny, but it was kind of weird. I love Studio C videos :)
ReplyDeleteThis video is funny because I have heard some of these voice message. I really like how the guy starts out normal and ends up super stressed.
ReplyDeleteThis video is hilarious! I don't personalized my voice mail message because is to hard and is a waste of time. but this video make laugh so hard.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really funny video, I did not know you could personalize your voice recorder in your phone. I did not know this but know that I do I will not change it because it is a waste of time.
ReplyDeletehaha this is funny, especially the way he kept on trying!
