Yuna Kim (The Queen) Unfairly judged?

To have imagined that Yu na the Queen lost the gold medal in the Olympics just astounds me. There are many people in the internet that are saying that the scores or judges were wrongly given. Like in 'click here' is an example of how many people thought that Yu na's performance was the best. I, in my opinion, think that Yuna should've won the gold medal. Compared the the Russian winner, Yuna's figure skating style is innate. All i think is that Yuna should have won this Olympic's Golden Medal.

  1. I think there could be a personal bias to judging too, but I believe that people can have opinion so it doesn't necessarily follow what the public thinks. So, I think she was unfairly judged.. However, I, personally think that she should have won Gold Medal.

  2. OK, I'll be honest, I had absolutely NO idea that the Olympics had even started yet. But I do believe that this girl probably won because she's Russian. Another thing that must be considered is both girls ages. Kim is much older that the Russian girl. So the judge's decision might have been based on those two aspects. I believe that the Russian girl's feelings must be taken into account as well. Imagine how she's feeling about the fact that the whole world is against herm winning.

  3. Are the judges Russian? I can't believe that a group of Russians would be allowed to judge the Russian olympics, that seems a bit biased. I wonder what will happen, if there is going to be a rematch or if the Russian girl will give up her title? I do feel really bad for both girls, since one thinks shes been misjudged and the other has everybody hate her.

  4. How sad!!! I honestly think that is terrible- that the judges are being prejudice because one of their own people are competing. It's terrible when judges are biased. So sad, and so extremely unfair to those who actually deserve to win because of true talent.

  5. I can't understand this result. I'm not saying that this Russian girl this really really bad, but Yuna Kim and the third place did much better. Have anybody seen the video? How comes that the Russian girl wins the gold medal after that she have tripped over during her performance, and that Yuna Kim completed hers without mistake? I hope this result change.

  6. I've heard/seen a lot about this in social media... I am not one to judge though, since I didn't get to see this figure skating performance in particular. I think this is a sport in which it is hard to argue who is the winner since it isn't based in any firm criteria other than the opinion of the judges. So I really don't know what to think with regards to this incident in Sochi 2014.

  8. It's really "weird" that a Russian girl won in Russia with the help of Russian judges. Yuna Kim really deserves to win first place. Aren't the Olympics supposed to be fair. Everyone should sign the petition. I did (twice). hahahaha

  9. I really do not like watching the Olympics because I get bored, but knowing that the judges are not evaluating fairly makes me not watch it anymore. I really did not watch how the Russian girl skated, but I think that Yuna Kim deserves the gold medal, because if everyone agrees she was the best one, then they should make the contest all over again. And judges from different countries.

  10. Yeah!! I saw this news few days before!!! I really can't understand the result!! Sotnicova's performance had many mistakes! but not Yuna Kim. Many people in other countries didn't understand the result too. I'm going to do petition again. :(

  11. I think this is totally unfair! I watched Kim Yu na in the Olympics and in my opnion I think she did way better than the woman who got in first place! What I've heard is that people around the world think that she did better and that they think the judges "cheated". At least she got second place, but of course in my opinion the results were unfair.

  12. I saw this news like few days ago. I also think that this result is unfair. The Russian girl made a lot of mistakes but Yuna Kim didn't make any mistakes and the Russian girl got higher point. More weird thing is she got 224 and the world high score is 228... or something like that... ^^ I don't think the Russian girl deserve the gold medal. The Olympic should be fair not giving the gold medal to their own country.

  13. I don't watch the olympics but I did here that she won and some people are furious. But do you think the the Russian figure skater was good? Even if she one, she won fairly by the judges. So hope that she will Yuna will win the next olympics.

  14. I thought this was so unfair. Even though I haven't watched it, I still saw some news articles about this news. I thought it was so unfair and the judges were so bias. Since it is an Olympic game and the participants practiced so hard, they should judge more fairly.

  15. I personally have no affiliation with either participant except that I was turned onto the subject by my Korean classmates. That being said, I thought that was totally unfair. I watch no skiing contests and even I could see the Queen should have won.

  16. There has been a lot of complaints about this, and not only from Koreans. News headlines depicted this as "home cooking" and it's been discovered that Sotnikova was friends with the wife of one of the judges. Also, there are pictures that show how much more area of the rink Yuna had covered during her performance than Sotnikova.
