FEI- Horse Paradise

FEI, or the Federation Equestrian International, are equestrian competitions that involve mainly jumping. All European countries, and the USA. I admire all of the riders who compete in this competitions, because they jump extremely high obstacles. They jump other cool things like pools. The actual name for the FEI jumping competitions is Rolex FEI. The winners from the 2011 where Christian Ahlman from Germany in first place, Eric Lamaze from Canada in second place, and Jeroen Dubbeldam from Netherlands in third place.
What do you think about this competitions? If you where a profetional rider, would you compete?

  1. I think this competition is dangerous for the horse and for the rider too. More than the player, poor for the horse!! I wonder how much they get for competing. Even though I am a professional rider, I would no participate.

  2. I like to ride horse, but even if i'm a professional rider I would prefer to avoid dangerous things. One little mistake can lead to a big accident or to death:(

  3. I absolutely love anything that has to do with horses. They are amazing creatures that are very useful. Sometimes I think they are better than humans! Horses remind me of Morgan.

  4. Although I don't like horse races that much, it is really amazing how these guys are capable of training horses to jump this high. It is also pretty risky to do this, I believe. Astonishingly, people winning these championships earn a lot of money. The good thing is that they earn a lot of money after spending humongous quantities of money on buying their horses.

  5. Well, I learned horse-back riding, so I know that although it is very fun, it is hard to jump high obstacles. It is also dangerous, which might make some riders a little hesitant. However, if I was a professional, I would definitely go for it.

  6. I have never learned to horse-back ride. If I ever get a chance to learn how to, I would love to do it. Although I think horseback riding is cool and fun, I don't think it is safe to race on the horse back. It is really dangerous and I think if you don't have the passion to do the race with the horse, it is better not to race.

  8. I think Horse-back riding would be very fun and interesting. It would be fun to have a horse running. I think that it would be very dangerous due to all the videos i've seen of accidents of horses, and how it damages the person and the horse as well.

  9. I have ride a horse in Sanjose beach and it was cool. If I were a professional rider, I would participate in the competition, but I think it would require a lot of effort and practice and it might be dangerous if I fell from a horse, but still it would be great to be a professional rider and to participate in FEI.

  10. If I were a professional rider and had the opportunity to go to this competition, I would probably go. Because being able to go to a competition, like this one, may only come to you once in life time. There is a saying that says when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I thing this saying is correct and has a lot of meaning, because many people don't do an opportunity, that has been given to them, either because they are afraid or because they don't feel like doing it. But the thing is who know when you are going to get another chance like this. My advice when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, because one day you might regret not doing it.

  11. I really admire the riders, also the horse, they bothy need so much physical strength. The rider to hold on to the horse while it gallops and jumps from one obstruction to another. When I tried horseback riding it hurt a lot and I think the rides are amazing to be able to hold on for so long. The horse is also trained a lot to be able to achieve this and I agree, poor the horses.
