The right to know or On how curiosity killed the cat

Seeing how music videos have become a trend on this blog, I -always one willing to take you hip kids as my guideline on what's hot and what's not- decided to follow on it and make a post about a video by Radiohead which I've always found clever. The band has some other nice videos in case you want to check them, although you might occasionally find their music to be hard to digest.

  1. I personally enjoy Radiohead, despite your claim that it might be hard to digest. In order to lend a helping hand, allow me to recommend another band that has good music with creative videos. The Bravery has very outside the box videos and I enjoy their music to no end.

  3. I don't like Radiohead and I have a good reason. I don't like songs like these that make me feel depressed. Maybe the song wasn't meant to be depressing, but the tune was and the video made it even more depressing. I found the video funny at times because the singer looked like he was possessed. However, at the end, when the guy who was on the ground finally told the group of people why he was on the ground, I REALLY WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HE SAID! I guess that was the point of the video though.

  5. I have actually never heard any other song by Radiohead besides Karma Police. I'm not that interested in them that much, but at the same time, I don't dislike them. This video was pretty interesting, and I kept waiting for the very end, hoping the guy would say why he was on the ground, but he never said it! That's the art of music videos though, to capture the viewers' attention to the very last second.

  6. I really actually liked this video. It was interesting to watch and I liked the song. This is probably the first song i've herd by Radiohead. But I might have heard one and just not known it was by them. It was cool to watch. I really just want to know what he said though. Like why would they do that? WHY WOULD THEY END IT LIKE THAT?!

  10. You're right, this song might be hard to digest. The video kills me!!!! Why was he laying there? Why won't they show why?!! I am really inpatient and REALLY want to know why!! I think that part of the lyrics intends to send the message that we have the control over ourselves and we have the power to do it to ourselves. :)

  11. I have never heard about Radiohead and i don't really like this type of music; however, I think that the video itself was pretty cool. I really wanted to know why the guy was laying on the floor and why people followed suit. I think there must be a deep meaning. Apart from the seriousness, the video was funny too. When people were trying to touch him and he would just cream at them, tat was so funny. Gosh, i really want to know why was he laying on the floor...

  12. I thought this was a pretty clever idea. The whole point of the music video was to show how "curiosity killed the cat." And yet, after reading all the comments people are still curious and really want to know why the man was lying there. Radiohead did a good job of twisting everyone up and proving their point.
