I had a brilliant idea. I know lots of people who are really interesting. People who spend their time as journalists, musicians, kinetic industrial designers, raconteurs, environmental architects, public defenders, etc. So I thought it would nice if I could conduct interviews with these interesting people over Skype, so that we all may learn from their wisdom.
This is the result of my first attempt at Skype interviewing. Needless to say, there is room for improvement. Anyone have any bright ideas?
I bet one day, this will be our way of communication. I mean, technology's evolution never stops, so why not interview people through Skype? What wouldn't be so good about this type of interviewing is that you wouldn't really meet the person physically, but verbally is enough. And it is definitely a brilliant idea that I agree with. I have a question: What is that green face moving throughout the whole video? It looks kind of funny sometimes. In conclusion, I am positive that this will one day be our way of communicating.
ReplyDeleteThe green face was because I had not yet bought the recording software. I was just borrowing it, so I guess they put the green face on it to remind freeloaders like me to buy.
ReplyDeleteOh. Alright! I guess this is a good and interesting way to attract customers(once they know what it means) because it distracts you when you're watching the video, so it easily makes you think about it. And by the way, something I forgot to say in my previous comment: there are already many interviews via Skype, specially on news channels. They communicate with other members of the channel to show how a situation is going on in a certain place. All via Skype.
ReplyDeleteThree words: SKYPE IS AWESOME. Yeah, I´ve seen it in CNN that a person is being interviewed via Skype. Did you know that you can even share screens?? So you can look at the other person´s screen, if let´s say he/she wants to show you some pictures, a document, whatever. But I don´t know if it works like Google Docs where you can edit the same document as well. I´ll test it one day...

ReplyDeleteYou were using Skype right? We have a system that is called Magic Jack, and it allows you to make calls (or anything else)to the US for free. Technology is evolving so fast that it probably won't be long until we have little personal robots to send messages to people!
ReplyDeleteMorgan, we also have Magic Jack, but it doesn't really work for us. It is like a type of weird USB that you connect to a computer, right? But still, I think it's a wonderful idea to have free calls just with a USB. Anyways, coming back to Skype, the only advantage I particularly see on it is that it's like advanced video-chatting. By the way, recently (like 2 or 3 days ago), I saw in the newspaper that Microsoft had bought Skype. I would expect Microsoft to call it Microsoft Skype! Haha!!!
ReplyDeleteRoberto, you are so right. Its weird how you can call people from the US from this little USB. We have one and my grandma is obsessed with it because she loves to call our family members from it. especially when it is for FREE! I really like skype. it is useful for people who don't like to use a phone to chat with people like me. People are curious of who i talk to so I don't like to use the phone in front of people.
ReplyDeleteI really love Skype... I used to call my grandparents via Skype... and when I was at U.S, My family and I video chat with Skype... It is really amazing how technology develops every second. xD on 2012, they might invent something to prevent Earth from falling down... well we never know.. (I do not believe in 2012 theory)
ReplyDeleteSkype is really useful. Is good that many people can chat or video chat together at the same time. Also, is good that we can call and talk with people by just calling even he/she is not in our friend list! But.. It's bad that we need to pay. But, still, Skype is awesome!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI always try to use skype but every time I try to it doesn't work like all advanced technology around me. Although the idea of someday in the far far far far future being able to communicate with skype sounds cool.
