I like how they are confused and are fighting over something that should actually be slightly obvious. I also find interesting how words can be pronounced the same although they mean another thing and they just leave people confused, even if they speak the same language. Thanks for sharing Nicks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204443645684988672.post-52207964902151273722014-05-06T09:37:15.088-07:002014-05-06T09:37:15.088-07:00I think this is so funny! I might need to carry around a piece of paper so that I don't have those problems when I'm with other people. It's really funny to watch that. I guess all languages have those problems. It's something that we have to learn to interpret from context. That is why it is important to make a bond with the people we are working with or the people we are with to make ourselves communicate properly, unlike in the videos.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204443645684988672.post-64362198232474420532014-05-01T08:36:03.580-07:002014-05-01T08:36:03.580-07:00Wow... I guess this is one of the disadvantages of oral language since you don't really know what a person is trying to say if you don't know the context of the conversation. It's the same story with homonyms (e.g. which, witch), you don't know what a person is saying unless you know the context in Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204443645684988672.post-54672667191935395422014-04-30T12:42:43.075-07:002014-04-30T12:42:43.075-07:00Yeah it's pretty stupid like Lily said but tha...Yeah it's pretty stupid like Lily said but that's what makes it funny. It's even better because our own American Government teacher was the one showing it to us. Too bad Hu is not the president anymore, we'll have to come up with another joke. I just wanted them to finally get it! Anyway, I totally agree that words can lead to misunderstandings which leads to arguments. I kind of wish this would happen to me. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
